Anyone who has seen photos of the Canadian Rockies has likely seen Lake Louise. The Rockies' famous turquoise glacial lake has been avidly photographed for more than a century. Viewed from the grandiose Chateau Lake Louise, Mount Victoria and the Victoria Glacier loom at the opposite end of the lake.

The Chateau sits on glacial moraine that created a natural dam and formed the lake thousands of years ago.
