Jun. 28--LIMA -- After approving $57,500 for Veterans Memorial Civic Center utilities Tuesday, Commissioner Greg Sneary signaled that he is losing patience for a facility that doesn't pay for itself. The county general fund pays the utility bills at the Civic Center. The transfer made Tuesday wasn't supposed to happen until the fourth quarter, but the money is needed now, Sneary said, because the utilities fund has only $6,000 left. Commissioners also approved a $10,000 capital expense for Civic Center roof repairs.
