Saddle up and strap on your chaps. Bandera is not only the "Cowboy Capital of the World," the town of less than 1,000 also calls itself the "Dude Ranch Capital of the World." No small thing for a city that was first settled in 1852 as a cypress shingle camp and hasn't gotten much bigger since.
