Jun. 29--SAN BENITO -- An electrical power plant here has recently come under sole ownership and is losing support from a state contract granted in 2002.
Employees at La Palma Power Station were notified Tuesday morning that Riverstone Holdings of New York City is now the sole owner of the plant, said Doug Kline, spokesperson for Sempra Energy.
Sempra sold all of its interest in the oil and gas-fired plant this week to Riverstone, ending the two companies' joint ownership of the plant, Kline said. For now "everything is staying exactly the same" in the general operation of the plant, said Michael Hoffman, managing director ...
