Bonds quiet in shallow trade, call rates easy at 5.80-5.85 pct

Mumbai, June 29 (PTI) Government bonds today once again remained quiet in shallow trade in view of the US Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) scheduled second day meeting, expected to raise interest rates even as call rates ruled steadily easy at 5.80-5.85 per cent amid comfortable funds.

Select securities moved in a narrow range in thin trade, ending barely changed from overnight levels, as cautious operators await the outcome of the FOMC meeting for further clues to market direction, dealers said.
