Majority of mainstream plasma TVs fail to meet China's high-definition TV standard
Shanghai. June 30. INTERFAX-CHINA - Plasma TVs under 50", especially mainstream 42" TVs, do not reach Chinese high-definition standards, according to a recent survey by China Video Industry Association, Sino Market Research, and China Electronics News.
China released the high-definition standard for flat-panel TVs in March, which is higher than the international resolution standard of 1024*768 for high-definition TVs.
