Jun. 30--VICTORVILLE -- Hispanic home buying in the city has shot up over the last year, from 35 percent to 57 percent of sales of existing homes.

Jose Munguia is one of those buyers, moving his family of nine into a 3,500-square-foot home in west Victorville in November.

"Each of my kids has their own room," said Munguia, who moved from Fullerton and still works nights in Anaheim.

Now his two brothers are each buying homes in the same neighborhood. All three of them, who work at the same place, plan to start carpooling and eventually look for jobs closer to home.
