In 1979 WIN NEWS reported on Female Circumcision/Genital Mutilation in Malaysia for the first time (see WN 5-4, pp, 31-32), There is also a section on FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) in Asia in The Hosken Report: Genital and Sexual Mutilation of Females (third edition 1983), The fourth edition of the Hosken Report is currently in preparation to be published this autumn (1993) which updates the previous ones.
