PORTLAND Ore.--Liberty Northwest Insurance Corp. has announced the formation of a new health maintenance organization, which it will make available to its workers' compensation insurance clients.
Liberty HMO was formed by Liberty Northwest's subsidiart, Liberty Health Plan. Liberty HMO is both clinic and hospital-based, including 137 providers and six hospitals in the Portland area.
Liberty Health Plan also offers group indemnity coverage a dental benefit, and a prescription drug benefit.
Liberty HMO, which began operation on Jan. 1, will first provide the program for Liberty Nortwest's 668 employees.
