Jul. 4--The host Boiling Springs' 11-12 year-old baseball all-stars hammered Forest City, 13-2, in district playoff action at the Town Hall field. The win puts Boiling Springs into second-round action today at 11 a.m. Will Earls was the winning pitcher, striking out three in five innings. Boiling Springs blasted three home runs. Patrick Bowman had a grand slam and drove in five runs. Nicolas Triplett had a home run and four RBI. Trey Adams also had a home run and two RBI. C.J.
