IF YOU WANT a cat fight, go to a feline convention, or maybe a taping of TV's "The View."
"The Devil Wears Prada," while totally entertaining, is formulaic fluff of the cosmetic variety. Led by a fine performance by Meryl Streep, it is altogether too pleasant for its own good. We expected a good deal more meanness.
There's a good time to be had here watching the foreboding coldness of La Streep as Miranda Priestly, the icy editor of Runway magazine, as she marches over all those who get in her way, especially the unfortunate "girls" who work as her assistant.
