Jul. 2--Arrick Robotics spawned in the mind of a precocious 10-year-old, who strapped some old motors on a few pieces of plywood and created his first robot.
"It did nothing but move forward," remembers Roger Arrick, now a father of two. "But my ideas are always ahead of what I can build." As a kid, Arrick spent most of his free time tinkering with Erector sets, designing and constructing little robots, fascinated by the mechanics and possibilities.
As an adult, Arrick still spends all of his free time busying himself with designs and prototypes of newer robots.
