There's no reason the next Google can't come from the East Coast, though it will take a lot more marketing flash to make
it happen.
That was one theory put forth during a panel session featuring East Coast venture capitalists Tuesday at the Red Herring East
conference. The session was moderated by Red Herring publisher Alex Vieux, a West Coaster who prodded and tweaked the panelists
throughout the session about the lack of hot IT and network start-ups on the East Coast.
