Jul. 7--Starting today, StarTek will raise is base wages for current customer service employees by $1 an hour. In a limited statement, StarTek announced the 14 percent wage increase as a result of the company's "phenomenal growth." Officials would not reveal specifics of the new wage plan, but their most recent ads for employment offered between $7 and $9.80 an hour for customer care representatives. "Our team in Greeley continues to expand in support of this growth," said Steve Butler, StarTek chief executive officer, in a press release. "We look forward to continuing our expansion in the Greeley community with this announcement." ...
