MIAMI, Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Toyota's 14 South Florida-area dealers report a seven-percent increase in retail pickup truck sales in January over the same month last year. 
In Southeast Toyota's five-state region, retail pickup truck sales in January climbed 27 percent over the year-ago month. 
Nationwide, pickup trucks sales advanced 15.9 percent. 
Pat Moran, president of Southeast Toyota, cited the popularity of Toyota's affordable short-term lease programs and the increased availability of Toyota's California-built pickups as reasons for the increase in showroom traffic.
