PRAGUE. JULY 10. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - CZECH CAR EXPORTS PULLS ECONOMY, CZECH CURRENCY SHOWS HIGHEST APPRECIATION OF ALL CEE CURRENCIES - The Czech Republic posted a trade surplus in May of just CZK 0.6 bln, compared to analyst expectations of CZK 6 bln. The surplus for the year rose to CZK 26.2 bln. The lower-than-expected surplus in May was attributed to high oil and natural-gas prices, higher imports of equipment, and greater consumer demand for imports.
