Japanese government prevents Panasonic's PLC technology from entering China
Qingdao. July 10. INTERFAX-CHINA - Despite interests in the lucrative Chinese market, Japanese electronics giant Panasonic's HD-PLC (high-definition power line communication) technology and products are unable to enter China because of security restrictions from the Japanese government, a Panasonic official said.
"Our PLC products use a 128-bit AES (advanced encryption standard), which the Japanese government does not allow us to bring to China," Toshi Koga, an official with Panasonic Communications's Research and Development Laboratory, told Interfax.
