Jul. 7--A string of historic, but long-idle buildings along Genesee Street downtown is up for sale -- again -- after several failed efforts to bring it back to life.

Willard A. Genrich, who gutted and braced the circa-1880s buildings two decades ago, then alternatively proposed various reuses and demolition, is once again attempting to sell them off. Genrich, who did not return reporter phone calls, has listed the structures, located from 99 to 123 Genesee St., between Oak and Ellicott streets, with NAI Pyramid Brokerage Co. for $975,000.
