Editor's Note: On May 27, Noli Capulong, a deputy regional deputy coordinator for environmental action in Southern Tagalog, was murdered with four bullets in Southern Luzon. An active church worker and member of the United Church of Christ of the Philippines, Capulong served the poor and marginalized. He worked to establish a society founded on justice and respect for civil rights of the people. He actively participated in workers' strikes and mobilizations.
