It's "a miserable life," but he loves to do it. Or so it seems as one listens to Dannel Malloy, Stamford's mayor, talk about life as a public servant.
While he said it's unlikely his three sons will follow in his political footsteps, Malloy is proud of the life he's chosen. The Democratic mayor speaks passionately about the city "where Pitney met Bowes" and over which he has presided for 11 years. He touts lower crime rates, more residential development, an "entrepreneurial" government that has fewer staffers but is more efficient, and an overall friendlier attitude toward business.
