Jul. 12--Thank you, Mary Dykstra Hagmaier, for one of the more entertaining e-mails of the thousands I receive each year.
(OK, that's an exaggeration, but I do get a lot of them).
Hagmaier read with interest my stories of weed growth along Virginia 419, and she has presented me with another Quality of Life issue important to at least some area residents.
"Now that the Victory Stadium debacle is behind us (ha)," she wrote, "and Oops is safely returned to the zoo, I think it is time to turn your vigilant readers' attention to the sad spectacle of Lakewood Park."
