Chinese producers will keep duties

Washington- The U.S. Department of Commerce has agreed to not perform an administrative review of 41 Chinese bedroom manufacturers, which asked to withdraw their names from the list of companies to be audited.

This means that for now, the companies will keep their current duty rates on imported furniture.

Twenty-four of the companies - including Lacquer Craft and some other top suppliers - are at duty rates below 8%. Many are at the Section A rate of 6.65%. The other 17 companies are subject to higher duty rates on imports, many at the all-China rate of 198%.
