From 8-26 August 2005, the African Women's Development and Communication Network (FEMNET) hosted an online discussion forum on Internet Governance entitled "Tunis and Beyond: Issues for Africa and African Women on Internet Governance". The goal of the online discussion forum was to facilitate exchange and discussion on Internet governance by African women and African civil society. The discussion forum was in preparation for the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) PrepCom-3 held from 19-30 September in Geneva, Switzerland.
