The project of 1.0 million t/a p-xylene (PX) aromatic integrated unit and matching facilities in CNPC Urumqi Petrochemical Complex has recently been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. The total investment of the project will be RMB3.867 billion.
According to Urumqi Municipal Government, it is another major project of CNPC after the 10.0 million t/a refining and 1.0 million t/a ethylene production line constructed in Dushanzi Petrochemical Company Ltd. (CCR2005, No. 25) After the completion of the project, the PX supply in Urumqi Petrochemical Complex will be increased from 80 000 tons to 1.0 million tons a year.
