The Institute of Mechanics CAS and Hunan Yueyang Baling Petrochemical Company Ltd. have jointly conducted successful research of the fused sodium carbonate recovery unit. Not only the problem of environmental pollution is solved, the recovery of spent alkali liquor can also increase the economic returns by RMB3.0 million a year.
The unit uses the method of fluid mechanics. Before its contact with other substances, fused sodium carbonate is crushed by gas/water flow to render it into a state of low corrosion and low temperature.
