Demise of Russian oil firm Yukos has not halted foreign investment - Russian President Putin
MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has said the court ruling against Russian Yukos that effectively crippled the oil firm through tax demands has not halted the influx of foreign investment into Russia's economy.
"[The Yukos ruling] has not halted the influx of foreign investment into our country," Putin said during an interview on the German TV channel ZDF. "Moreover, the level of capitalization of our companies over the past year has been an absolute record, not only for our economy, but for the world economy."
