Jul. 13--Four people were injured Wednesday night when two large tree limbs broke during a strong thunderstorm and crashed onto a tent at a community carnival in Womelsdorf. The storm that ripped through western and northern Berks County brought the tree limbs down shortly before 9 during the event in the Womelsdorf Community Park at East High and South Water streets, according to borough police and witnesses.
Womelsdorf resident Ryan Hopple suffered the most serious injuries, police said. Hopple, whose age was unavailable, was taken to Reading Hospital, where he was being treated for unspecified injuries ...
