Jul. 14--Harry Stalhaner of Boca Raton, Fla., sits in a semicircle, joining a music lesson in a hotel conference room.
He's 80, a Holocaust survivor, and he's playing a domra, a stringed instrument that figures prominently in Russian folk music.
The sound reminds him of the Jewish music he knew growing up.
"I feel relaxed and alive," he said.
It also reminds him of his wife, who loved the music. She died three years ago in a car accident.
The convention's 160 attendees are filling parts of the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls with Russian songs, dances and lessons.
