After the Metropolitan Opera's Music Director, James Levine, took a tumble on stage after conducting a concert with the Boston Symphony Orchestra on March 1, he had to undergo major surgery for a torn rotator cuff. As a result, he cancelled his remaining performances with the BSO and the Metropolitan Opera, including major revivals of Beethoven's Fidelio and Wagner's Lohengrin and the Met's new production of Donizetti's Don Pasquale.
