China criticizes Japanese calls for preemptive strike against North Korea
Beijing. July 14. INTERFAX-CHINA - Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu has criticized remarks by a number of Japanese politicians calling for preemptive strikes to be launched against North Korea.
"Certain Japanese politicians have insisted on a preemptive strike against the country. These remarks only serve to add more fuel to the fire and are extremely irresponsible," Jiang said in a statement available on the Chinese Foreign Ministry's website.
