Jul. 14--A downtown property owner has been found guilty of not maintaining an historic, gutted building at the corner of Genesee and Oak streets.
Buffalo Housing Court Judge Henry J. Nowak has ruled Willard A. Genrich and his Platinumdome Corp. are in violation of three sections of the city building code at 109 Genesee St.
Even though Genrich purposely gutted and braced the brick structure more than two decades ago, retaining the exterior shell for future redevelopment, the codes still apply, Nowak found.
