NEW YORK _ A malaise spread Saturday throughout the Chicago White Sox, well after first baseman Paul Konerko woke up with flu-like symptoms.
The Sox were deficient on the mound and in the field, and they even came up short at the plate in clutch situations that typified a 14-3 loss to the New York Yankees.
"We need to win a game and get going again," catcher A.J. Pierzynski said, taking note the Sox have lost four of their last five games to American League heavyweights Boston and New York.
The Sox will shuffle their roster Sunday by designating embattled reliever Cliff Politte for assignment and recalling pitcher ...
