Chinese claim Guinness Record in singing marathon
Beijing, July 15 (PTI) A group of 2,285 people in China claimed to have set a Guinness World Record by singing one after another for 118 straight hours, a report said today.
The participants gathered in a shopping mall in Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan Province, and apparently broke the previous record of 100 hours when the last singer finished at six pm yesterday, Xinhua news agency reported.
However, the Economic Broadcast television channel, which organised the singing marathon, said the results needed to be confirmed by the UK-based Guinness headquarters.
