ABSTRACT
Wildlife agencies have been concerned about possible swamp rabbit (Sylvilagus aquaticus) declines, however swamp rabbits have tended to be one of the least studied members of Sylvilagus. During the 1997-98, 1998-99, and 1999-2000 harvest seasons, we characterized sex and age ratios, reproductive status, body mass, and hind foot length of harvested swamp rabbits on Trim Cane Wildlife Management Area, Mississippi, to better understand their demographics and morphometrics.
