First, Luke Cannon kept Yakima at bay with a running catch that saved two runs in the top of the eighth inning.
Then the Eugene left fielder put the Bears away with his first professional home run in the bottom of the eighth to cap a 10-4 victory for the Emeralds over Yakima on Sunday afternoon in Northwest League baseball at Civic Stadium.
