Jul. 20--BALTIMORE -- It is starting to happen again to Rangers third baseman Hank Blalock. He is 1-for-13 in the second half with 11 consecutive hitless at-bats. He is 0-for-5 against left-handers, with three of the at-bats coming against Erik Bedard in an 8-1 loss to Baltimore on Saturday. The Rangers are only three games into the post-All-Star break, and the question already has arisen. Can Blalock break the cycle of producing in the first half and melting into a puddle in the second half? The resolution will help determine this team's fate.
