Silvia Reyes finds her job as a Marriott housekeeper easy to handle, but communicating with hotel guests is another story.
The Dominican Republic native's first language is Spanish, and she has yet to master English. But she's making progress, thanks in part to a 16-week pilot program launched last month by Marriott International Inc. in 23 hotels across the country.
Reyes is one of four Boston Marriott Quincy employees selected to use the Sed de Saber (Thirst for Knowledge) interactive English-as-a-second-language system for native Spanish speakers.
