AKED women, bodies covered in gold paint, and no, I'm not in a strip club.
That was the sight that greeted me on the back of a carnival float in the Algarve town of Loule.
The famous region of Portugal is not just a place to lie on the beach all day soaking up the sun, you know.
If you take the time to travel off the beaten track, you may find Loule, too.
And if you are in the Algarve around the end of February or March, then you can see one of the region's most flamboyant carnival parades taking place.
