Jul. 23--Zack stood still with his head held high like a champion as co-owner Mike Dolan of Bloomington, Ill., continued to scissor and brush his brown coat to perfection.
Actually, Zack is a champion. He's a 2-year-old standard poodle, and on Saturday he was among 1,603 dogs representing 149 breeds participating in the Evansville Kennel Club's all-breed dog show at the Executive Inn Rivermont.
The event, called the River Valley Cluster, continues at 8 a.m. today at the hotel with Owensboro's River City Kennel Club hosting the third and final day of the contests. The local club also hosted Friday's opening day show and ...
