The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) advised residents in the coastal areas of Northern Luzon to "seek higher grounds" as typhoon "Glenda" further intensified yesterday.
The weather bureau raised public storm warning signal (PSWS) No. 2 in some areas of Northern Luzon.
In its "Severe Weather Bulletin 8" issued at 5 p.m. yesterday, PAGASA stated typhoon "Glenda" has "increased its threat to Northern Luzon."
With maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusty winds of up to 185 kph, a 15-kph increase from 170 kph at 11 a.m. ...
