Jul. 23--CLIFFSIDE -- Everything was in place for Boiling Springs at the start of the 10-11-year-old North Carolina State Baseball Tournament.
A legion of fans, clad in green and white, made the short drive to the ballpark, ready to cheer on their sons and grandsons to victory.
An unforgiving sun beat down on the damp field as Greenville North State came to the plate in the top of the first.
That's when the green and white starting turning a shade of blue. North State scored twice in the first inning and two more runs in the second for a 4-0 victory.
WHAT IT MEANS: North State plays a winner's bracket game ...
