SEOUL, South Korea--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 2006--LG.Philips LCD (NYSE:LPL)(KRX:034220), one of the world's leading innovators of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) technology, announced that an arbitration panel in New York decided in its favor, in a dispute over technology ownership with Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT).
This ruling is expected to give LG.Philips LCD an advantage in the patent dispute with CPT that is currently pending.
