Jul. 25--The San Ramon City Council plans to appropriate $5 million tonight to expand the senior center, the city's most-used building.
The money will pay for a 4,714-square-foot expansion, add 54 parking spaces, pay for relocation of the senior gardens and add a new driveway to Stagecoach Road. The funds first must be allocated by the city's Redevelopment Agency, comprising the City Council members. That meeting begins at 6:45 p.m., before the 7 p.m. council meeting.
