With new powers for the Assembly given Royal Assent yesterday, Political Editor Tomos Livingstone casts a wry eye on how the changes will affect us WHOEVER wins next year's Assembly elections will have a great deal more power to wield. Assembly Ministers will be able to draw up their own laws in devolved areas, subject to agreement in principle from Westminster.
So if the Assembly wants a new Education Bill, they can get the nod from London - after a 90-minute debate in Parliament - and then get on with it. ...
