The Scorpions have locked their sights on a man known as "landlord", believed to run one of the largest drug-smuggling syndicates in the country.
They hope to arrest him, and other big bosses, by the end of next month when the trial begins of three men who allegedly tried to export R250-million worth of cannabis and hashish to America.
They also revealed that "prominent" South Africans were involved in the international syndicate, which dealt in cocaine, Mandrax, illegal cigarettes and other contraband.
