CRAIG Bown's shock decision to put Birmingham Bullets in cold storage does not necessarily mean the end of top-flight basketball in the city for good.
Bown has decided to opt out of the BBL 2006-07 season as he attempts to relocate the franchise.
If he succeeds in moving the club to Nottingham or Telford, which are believed to be his preferred destinations, then an opportunity would arise to create a new Birmingham team.
That could be just the spur many basketball followers and sponsors who have become disillusioned with his running of the club might need to swing into action.
