Article: Murkowski puts heat on Alaska legislature to pass pipe deal.( Natural Gas Pipeline project)

The Alaskan legislature began a special session on Jul. 12, the second in the past three months, to try and advance the landmark Alaska Natural Gas Pipeline project. There has been pressure from federal officials to see headway made on the project, and most recently the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission told Congress that if the project doesn't make progress soon, it could become economically unfeasible as consumers will move increasingly towards imported sources of LNG instead (OD Jul.13,p5).
