BANK employees have voted by a large majority to reject the terms of the proposed new national pay deal.
The deal was rejected because it lacks a local bargaining option.
Staff were also concerned at moves to downgrade their pensions, especially for new employees, according to the Irish Bank Officials' Association (IBOA) general secretary, Larry Broderick.
The union's 14,000 members in the Republic voted by a 95pc majority to reject the pay terms which provide for a cumulative 10.4pc pay rise, in four phases, ...
