Jul. 27--Tad Diesel believes in Norwalk.
In his first month on the job as Norwalk's new director of economic development, the former Cablevision spokesman has been expanding his familiarity with the business community and telling out-of-town companies why Norwalk would make a good home.
Diesel, 57, knows a lot about Norwalk and its business climate because of his eight years as a member of The Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, including two as its chairman.
Sitting in his office at City Hall, Diesel said he was ready to get into action after taking eight months to assess his future after leaving Cablevision.
