BUDAPEST. JULY 27. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - SOCIALISTS PLUNGE IN LATEST GALLUP POLL. The governing Hungarian Socialist Party has seen a massive drop in its poll numbers in recent months, largely as a result of the austerity measures recently approved by Parliament. In the latest poll by research institute Gallup, the Socialists managed just 21% support in the entire electorate, down from a post-election high of 35%.
